Current management
In May 2020 – for the first time in the company's history – non-family members have taken up executive responsibilities, now teaming up with Christian O. Erbe in running the enterprise.
Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH was founded in 1851 in Tuebingen, Germany. In the 5th generation, the family-owned company develops, produces and sells systems for electrosurgery, vessel sealing, argon plasma coagulation, cryosurgery and hydrosurgery. Erbe is considered a pioneer in electrosurgery, a technology that utilizes high-frequency currents in order to cut through, coagulate or devitalize tissue, or to seal blood vessels.
We take responsibility where we can have a direct impact – in the four areas of people, planet, principles, and products. This allows us to set specific priorities and further develop existing processes. After all, sustainability is an ongoing process. Our goal is to ensure patient well-being while reducing our environmental footprint. Sustainability for us is an integral part of product development, operations, and strategy.
We provide our users with surgical systems they can rely on by continuously developing our methods and processes and applying rigorous testing throughout the product lifecycle. Our commitment to quality extends from development and purchasing to production, logistics and service, ensuring consistently high standards and reliable performance. Through comprehensive service, we maintain this level of quality throughout the product’s service life, contributing to safety and reliability in surgical procedures.
